Pillar one · Bright Girls · Ages 11 to 18
Build agency before the world says wait.
A school and holiday programme that gives girls a repeatable process for turning what they care about into action.
Why it matters
Girls do not lack potential. They lose room to act.
As adolescence progresses, social and cultural constraints narrow what a girl believes she can do, and who believes she can do it. Bright Girls exists to give that room back.
How it works
In schools
The CARES methodology, delivered through structured sessions and projects.
In the holidays
Summer bootcamps that deepen skills, confidence and networks.
Into the network
A route into mentoring and the wider Bright ecosystem.
The CARES methodology
A five-stage action framework.
Girls move from spotting an issue they care about to designing, delivering and sustaining real action.
Context
Understand the issue and the world around it.
Attention
Notice what matters and decide where to focus.
Response
Design a practical way to respond.
Enlist
Bring others in: people, partners and support.
Sustain
Keep it going so the action lasts.

Each school receives a digital programme pack, and girls join an ongoing community so the agency built in the programme does not end with it.
2 to 3 schools piloting in 2026, around 60 girls.

Safeguarding
